Praying Mantis Plush
A praying mantis with the arms up and the head turned. Twenty-eight centimetres of polite menace. It will watch you from the shelf, because that is what the pose does.
What you're getting
- The raptorial forelegs. Folded, spined along the inner edge, held up in the posture that gives the animal its name.
- A head that turns. Sewn on a soft neck, so you can angle it — mantises are one of the few insects that can look over their shoulder.
- Thin wire-look antennae and big amber eyes with the false pupil dot that seems to follow you.
- Two colourways. Green or khaki, the two colours real mantises come in depending on where they grew up.
- 28 cm from mouth to tail. Bigger than people expect.

Questions people actually ask
Which colour is better?
Green photographs louder and reads as a mantis instantly. Khaki looks more like a dry-season one and sits better against wood and neutral shelves.
Are the legs wired?
No. Soft-filled, so they splay and hold a loose position. The forelegs stay up because of how they're sewn, not because of wire.
Does it stand on its own?
Yes, on four rear legs, with the forelegs raised. It's stable on a flat shelf.
Can it survive being handled a lot?
The body and legs, yes. The antennae are the thinnest part and will bend if you're rough with them.
